My Ipsy bag has finally arrived! After seeing the amazing sneak peeks I have been anticipating this bag for a long time. And I am actually pretty happy with the bag! The theme is Glamour Academy, it's time to go back to school and we need to do whatever we can to be prepared!
This post I will list all the products and also tell you the value of each of the products in the bag. I'll add it all up at the end and see if this was worth the money! (For those of you who don't know Ipsy is a beauty subscription for $10 with shipping, every single month. You get a cute makeup bag along with discounts and 4-5 products.)
First here we have the bag which is so cute! And it's actually a pretty nice sized bag and all the products fit nicely in when I received it.
Starting from the left is the Pixi Lash Booster Mascara. The full size of this retails for $17 (7g/.25 oz) and the size I got is 3g/.105oz which is around half so this sample size would cost around $7. I always love trying out new mascaras so I'm excited to give this one a try! On the website it says "This unique mascara truly boosts your lashes, giving them a "push-up" effect that lasts all day." I'll have to see if this is true!
Next is the City Color Cheek Stain. This is the full size and it retails for $2.99. I swatched this on my hand (look below for swatches) and it's super pigmented and creamy. I think this will be really good for adding a nice flush of color to my cheeks.
Next is the Noya Lip Balm in Vanilla. This is a full size and retails for $3.99. Honestly, I'm very upset I didn't receive the Urban Decay lipstick. But I got this, so I'm going to make the most of it! I love the smell of vanilla and this is the perfect vanilla scent I want on my lips. I also find it to be very moisturizing and definitely something I will be using often. I am always look for new lip balms and this one right now is great for my dry lips.
On the left is the Pacifica Alight Multi-Mineral BB Cream. The full size (1 fl oz) retails for $16. The size I got is .34 fl oz so it's around $5 for the size. I love BB creams so I'm always excited when I get to try a new one! (Look below for swatches.)
Lastly, is the Michael Todd Jojoba Charcoal Facial Scrub. The full size of this (3.4fl oz) retails for $18 and the size I received was only a sample (1 fl oz) so this is worth around $5. I have been hearing about this brand so much on YouTube so I'm really excited I can try something. And if I really enjoy it, I definitely plan on buying more products from this brand.
Here I have swatches of the blush and the BB cream. The blush is super pigmented when I swatched it on my hand. But when applying it I suggest using your fingers and dab a little. Because a little can go a long way with this.
And the BB cream was very smooth and I'm not sure if you can tell by the picture but it adds a shiny glow to your skin. Not oily, just a nice natural shine. But I'll see how it turns out when I use it all over my face.
Total worth of the bag: $23!
I only paid $10 for this and getting $23 worth of products isn't so bad. Even if I'm not so happy with all the products I got (ehem the Noya lip balm instead of the Urban Decay Lipstick). But I'm excited to try out some new products and brands! Can't wait for next month!
